Medicinal marijuana is a pretty huge deal around here lately. There are nearly 20,000 folks in Colorado with prescription cards, with tens of thousands still being added to the state Registry. 43 dispensaries already exist in Boulder alone, and there are more on the way.

I'm not sure if pot will ever be decriminalized on the federal level any time soon, but this kind of thing is happening via regions progressing toward what is right. Eventually there will be a tipping point. Marijuana is a safer drug than alcohol, safer than most of the pharmaceuticals out there, and it's just fucking stupid to classify it as illegal.

Now I'm not saying anything, but I betcha Ol' Jeffrey Rowland might know a thing or two about this.
